Lonnie Donnegan, UK musician (1931-2002) 'The King of Skiffle'. One of the most successful recording artists of the pre-Beatles era, he had three UK number one hits and numerous top 10 entries in the 1950s and 60s, including 'My Old Man's a Dustman', 'Cumberland Gap', and 'Puttin' on the Style'. Many of today's musicians claim that it was he who inspired them to take up the guitar.
