One of Canada's earliest hit bands, The Beau Marks emerged in the late '50s with two hits: "Moonlight Party" and "Clap Your Hands". The latter became a radio staple across Canada and the United States, leading to an appearance on Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand', and achieved Top10 status in Europe. After the band's follow-up releases Classmate (1961) and Little Miss Lady (1962) failed to reach the same level of success of the band's first release, the band split in 1963.
