Winnifred Atwell was an accomplished and versatile pianist who was idolised by the British public throughout the 1950s. Retired in 1980 to Australia. Her legendary 'Black And White Rag' is used as the signature tune of BBC's long running 'Pot Black' snooker programme. Born 1914, Trinidad, died 1983, Sydney, Australia.
