2003 film directed by Anthony Minghella and based on Charles Frazier's Civil War novel of the same name. Cold Mountain is the story of Inman (Jude Law), a wounded confederate soldier who is on a journey home to his mountain community. He hopes to reunite with his sweetheart, Ada (Nicole Kidman). While he's been gone, Ada has struggled to survive, and work her father's farm. She is aided by a young drifter, Ruby (Renée Zellweger).
