The author of fiction and nonfiction, J. Sydney Jones writes in genres from travel to biography, thrillers, historical novels, and young adult fiction. Jones lived in Europe for many years and studied at the University of Vienna. He currently teaches at Cabrillo College in Aptos, California and resides in nearby Soquel. Although primarily involved in historical fiction, Jones also writes as a freelance journalist, having logged hundreds of articles in newspapers, magazines, and biographical directories. His works have been translated into German, Russian, and Hebrew. He is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and the Authors Guild, and delights in reading, listening to Celtic and baroque music, hiking, and playing tennis.
