American cartoonist (b. 1969) whose self-published mini-comics (New Hat) were part of a wave of experimental and minimalist work from artists such as John Porcellino and Jon Lewis. His later works include The Sands and a series of stories about his anti-establishment character Hutch Owen. Hart has also taught cartooning at the School of Visual Arts.
