Lou Henry Hoover (1874-1944) was born in Waterloo, Iowa. Following her graduation of Stanford, she married Herbert Hoover February 10, 1899. They had two boys, Herbert, Jr. and Allen Henry. She served as First Lady of the United States during her husband's presidency from March 4, 1929 to March 4, 1933.
